Painless and safe use of fillers

Pix'l cannulas, produced by the French company Thiebaud, are specially designed blunt-tipped cannulas, 40-60 mm long with a 0.3-0.8 mm diameter. They pass through the tissue without causing trauma, being able to adapt to the shape of the tisue due to their flexibility. Compared to the application of fillers with the use of sharp hypodermic needles, this procedure significantly reduces the possibility of injuries to blood vessels or nerves resulting in bruises; the possibility of intravascular application of the fillers is negligible. The cannulas also ensure a continuous, regular, linear filler flow which prevents the occurrence of lumps or filler leakage. Besides, compared to the standard application of fillers with the use of sharp hypodermic needles, this procedure is almost painless for the patient and causes no bruising or significant swelling. It also enables the use of different types of fillers and the management of various indications in one act and by one access site. Most importantly, the use of these cannulas enables the procedure of volumetric face lifting.
