Cemical peeling / Dermabrasion
Chemical and mechanical peeling (dermabrasion) are procedures for the removal of facial wrinkles, acne scars, or hyperpigmented areas. Chemical peeling is performed with the use of 35% trichloroacetic acid (TCA); applied to the face, it causes peeling of the superficial skin layer as well as its resulting regeneration. Dermabrasion or skin planing is performed with the use of a special device with different heads for rougher or finer abrasion. Both procedures are performed under local anesthesia, and the recovery period, depending on the method and depth of the peeling/dermabrasion, lasts from 7 to 14 days.
