Mastopexy
Cosmetic surgery of the body and limbs
Due to aging, gravity, or sudden weight loss, the breasts tend to lose volume and sag, becoming drooping, ptotic breasts. Mastopexy is a surgical procedure to lift and firm sagging breasts and restore their youthful appearance. Breast lift is performed under general anesthesia; the remaining scars are located around the areola and vertically from the nipple to the inframammary fold. In the case of extremely ptotic breasts, mastopexy needs to be combined with silicone implants. The recovery period lasts 7 to 10 days, and requires the wearing of a special elastic bra for a month after the operation.
